Molding Operator

Position Type: Full-time

Summary Of Duties

Position Purpose: The Molding Operator is responsible for operating a manual injection molding machine.

Operate Injection Molding Machine

• Understand the mechanics of the molding machine
• Setup cell per work instructions
• Remove molded plastic part from injection molding machine
• Maintain cycle times to ensure customer delivery dates

Quality

• Visually check all product for defects
• Follow all packaging and sorting procedures in the Molding Work Instructions (MWI)
• Communicate to Supervisor any defects or concerns with product and document on Visual Log

Cleanliness

• Keep work area clean per company housekeeping standards
• Restock all packaging needed for jobs

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and stand for an extended period of time

Desired

• Knowledge of Visual Quality Discrepancies
• Delmiaworks (IQMS) ERP System Experience
