Quality Engineering Technician
Position Type: Full-time
Shift Hours:
- 7:00am-3:30pm; Monday-Friday
Summary Of Duties
Position Purpose: The Quality Engineering Tech is responsible for making sure products and processes
adhere to a company’s quality standards. They set quality criteria, conduct tests, and create the
documentation of testing procedures and results. They are there to resolve problems that jeopardize the
production of quality products and services.
Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Participate in the CI System
- Provide appropriate information to support CI activities
Quality System
- Timely review of job packets
- Create work instructions and inspection requirements
- Manage calibration system compliance
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis and complaint handling
- Complete assigned ISO internal audits
- Provide support via quality data reporting and information
- Participate in Material Review Board activities
- Facilitate all necessary parts of the Control of Nonconforming Product process (MRB)
Customer Support
- Support timely response to customer issues
- Customer support for audits, visits and other requests
Management
- Facilitate and/or perform new hire training as required
- Provide back-up to Quality Technicians
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Experience
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organization skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to interpret and analyze data in decision making
- 5 years manufacturing experience
Desired
- 7 years previous quality experience with inspection equipment and processes
- 7 years injection molding and assembly experience
- Delmiaworks (IQMS) ERP System knowledge
- Blueprint reading skills
- ISO Knowledge
